Prince George, B.C.- The Peta Mountain fire, about 20kms north of Fraser Lake, is now 30% contained.
The fire, which was first spotted a week ago, is estimated to be about 250 hectares in size. The Prince George Fire Centre says crews were able to conduct burn-off operations on the weekend and a guard has been established around the full perimeter of the fire.
Firefighters continue to mop-up and build fuel free areas. An additional team of ten people will be on site today to assist with mop up operations.
Right now, there are 75 firefighters, 3 helicopters and one piece of heavy equipment working this fire.
