Cuba Advances to Final

Prince George, B.C.- Chinese Taipei was the only team that has been able to overcome Cuba in regular play at the World Baseball Challenge.
Chinese Taipei beat the Cubans 6-4 last night. That means both Chinese Taipei and the Cubans finish with 5 and 1 records for the preliminary round. But since Cuba had a better defensive record in the two games the two teams played against each other, it will be Cuba that gets an automatic move to the Thursday’s championship game.
Cuba will face either Chinese Taipei or Japan, that decision will be made this evening when the two teams meet again at Citizen Field this evening at 7. The loser of that game will move to the bronze game set for Thursday at 3 p.m.
At 3 this afternoon, Canada plays NWAACC-USA in the game that eliminates the loser and sends the winner to the third-place game.

unfortunately the lack of previously playing together as a team really was evident with Team Canada….also the attendance seems to me to be lower than usual ( I have missed two games ) … there will be 2 great medal games tomorrow.
