Cougars Upend Rebels On The Road

Prince George, B.C. – The Prince George Cougars kicked off the 2013 WHL pre-season with a road victory in Alberta.

 

The Cougars displayed some offensive punch in downing the Red Deer Rebels 8-4 in St. Albert on Saturday. Jansen Harkins led the Cats with a goal and three helpers while Tanner Lishchynsky added a pair of goals. The clubs were tied at two after one period, the Cougars led 5-3 after two. Ty Edmonds and Matt Kustra shared the netminding duties for the Cougars, who outshot the Rebels 33-22.

 

The Cougars play the Medicine Hat Tigers at 10 Sunday morning. They host the Edmonton Oil Kings next Friday and Saturday at CN Centre.
