Prince George, B.C. – The 21st annual AIDS Walk for Life brought together people inflicted with HIV/AIDS, supporters and others concerned about incidence of the virus in this part of the province.

Prince George was one of 40 Canadian communities which hosted a walk. It was held Saturday at Masich Place Stadium, with all proceeds remaining in the community for programs and services for those living with and affected by HIV/AIDS.    The fundraising goal this year was $20,000.

The area covered by Northern Health has the third-highest rate of infections in B.C., and Positive Living North is continually trying to get the message of prevention out, while at the same time supporting people with the disease, especially those without the funds to properly care for themselves.
