Seniors’ Health Topic of Consultations
Monday, September 23, 2013 @ 3:53 AM
Prince George, B.C. – Northern Health will be starting another round of consultations throughout the north, this time, it is on the topic of seniors health.
The series of meetings starts today and will carry on through to November 20th. “Healthy aging and seniors’ wellness is a shared community concern and we want to ensure people have a voice in how we address it,” said Dr. Charles Jago, Northern Health Board Chair.
The sessions will look at all issues of aging and wellness and information gathered will be helpful for planning and decision-making purposes. The consultations also offer an opportunity for Northern Health to share information with residents on healthy aging.
There is no cost to attend a consultation session. Those who are not able to attend in person, can send their comments to consultations@northernhealth.ca
The first session will take place in Prince Rupert today at the North Coast Convention Centre at 2 this afternoon.
