LeBrun Hat Trick Seals Win For Spruce Kings
Prince George, BC – Jake LeBrun led the Prince George Spruce Kings to a 4-3 win in regulation time over the Penticton Vees in front of 945 fans at the Coliseum last night.
LeBrun’s third goal of the game, on the power play, at 12:25 of the final period handed the Vees their first loss of the regular season.
Penticton was first on the scoreboard, before the Kings jumped to a 3-1 lead with two from LeBrun, and a third from Chad Staley after 20-minutes of play. The Vees scored the only goal in the second and another in the third before LeBrun managed the hat trick.
Jesse Jenks made 36 saves for Prince George. The team now has a 2-2-0-and-1 record and is tied for first place in the Mainland Division with the Langley Rivermen at five points. The Rivermen have two games in-hand.
The Spruce Kings host Trail tonight at 7pm.
