Prince George, BC – One person has been transported to hospital following a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of 4th Avenue and Winnipeg Street over the dinner hour…
RCMP say a preliminary report indicates that a sports utility vehicle may have run a red light, broadsiding a pick-up truck moving through the intersection.
The impact of the crash sent the truck onto the sidewalk.
No word on the severity of the victim’s injuries. Charges against the driver of the SUV are likely.

Nice photo. Now that’s dedication, climbing up on a building to get a good vantage. Assuming the shot didn’t come from someone living in those buildings already.
How do these kinds of accidents happen at the dinner hour in downtown PG on a Sunday…every one should have to take a refresher drivers course every 5 years….moronic drivers get me every time.
Look at the two pictures, almost identical, this one was taken last year involving an RCMP vehicle.

Deja Vu anyone?

The picture looks like it was taken from the 12 or so storey apartment on 3rd avenue.
I used to have an office on the 6th floor of the Scotia building and had a great view down 4th looking east. There were lots of near misses, and some actuals especially on Vancouver and 4th.
This is a controlled intersection, but this crash is not a big surprise.
Difference between this crash and the last one? It is controlled now and no one knows if the police officer was charged…..
