Prince George, BC – BC Forests, Lands, and Natural Resource Operations Minister, Steve Thomson, will be the keynote speaker at a gathering of Interior forest industry reps in Prince George this evening.

Newly appointed President and CEO, James Gorman, will also be on-hand for the Council of Forest Industries’ Community Dinner at the Civic Centre tonight.

Gorman, formerly Deputy Minister of Advanced Education, officially assumed his position at COFI on Monday.

Tomorrow, Gorman, along with COFI Board Chair, Nick Arkle, and local association reps, will sit down with local media for a roundtable to discuss the current state of the BC forest industry.
