Moose-taken Identity?

Monday, September 30, 2013 @ 5:26 PM
Prince George, B.C.- Close call at Chieftan Auto Parts on Third Avenue this morning.

A young moose, thought to be a 2nd year cow,  turned on to 3rd Avenue from Kingston.  Initially it was thought it had spotted it’s own reflection  in the glass and charged at the "other moose" but  Conservation Officer Gary Van SPangen says it now appears  the moose  just didn’t make  it around the corner cleanly from  Kingston  and slammed into the  window at Chieftan Auto Parts.

One employee says while the collision broke the ¼ inch glass, there were no signs of blood and the moose took off again.

Conservation Officer Gary Van Spangen says those who spotted the moose later indicated it had some cuts on its nose , was walking around without difficulty “and it should be ok.” He says the animal hasn’t been seen for several hours, and hopefully it has gone back to a wooded area “to do what moose do.”

Van Spangen says in the event anyone should see this moose, and it appears to be having difficulties or there are injuries not already detected, to please call the Conservation Officer Service   at 1-877-952-7277

I saw that poor moose cross first ave this morning. Its lucky to have survived Prince George drivers.

Yeah, they probably lured it there, they’ll do anything for advertising, LMAO!

That should make for an entertaining conversation with the insurance adjuster…
