Prince George, B.C. – The Prince George Cougars are offering up their retro-jerseys that were worn in the home opener last Friday, ( shown in photo at right)  in an online auction to raise dollars for the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation.

“Our team has been a proud supporter of the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation for many years”, says Brandi Brodsky, Cougars Vice-President.  “Our entire organization is honoured by the opportunity to support the foundation through our fundraising efforts. We are thrilled to have them as a partner, and encourage all Cougars fans to join this worthwhile initiative by bidding on the jerseys.”

The jersey auction is part of the team’s ongoing commitment to supporting the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation. At the team’s home opener last Friday,  the Prince George Cougars presented a cheque in the amount of  $43,130.43 to the Healthcare Foundation. The money had been raised through the Cougars’ Alumni Hospital Charity Golf Tournament.
