Wet Weather Encourages Antiquing This Weekend
Vendors display their antiques and collectibles at the Roll-A-Dome
Prince George, BC – This weekend’s rain has meant for booming business inside the Roll-A-Dome where the South Bowl Community Association is hosting its 23rd annual Antiques and Collectibles Fair…
Association Chair, Margi Sandberg, says the vendors, who come from around the province and Alberta, have been kept hopping by the crowd.
The fair is held twice per year – spring and fall – with the community association serving as the host and recipient charity of the October event.
Sandberg says she is one of two volunteers who’ve been involved since the fair’s inception 23-years ago. She says the event provides critical funds for residents living in the South Bowl.
"Every year, we put in new parks, do park repairs and provide money for programs at Westwood, Peden Hill, Pinewood and Van Bien schools," she says. "It’s a great fundraiser and it gives lots back to the community."
The fair runs again today from 10am until 4pm.
