Prince George, B.C.- The 2015 Canada Winter Games are the focus of two different seminars taking place today and tomorrow.
Today, at the Bentley Centre at UNBC, the focus is on promoting sustainability as a community-building initiative in northern BC.
The purpose of the Summit is for people of all sectors, including business, social development, healthcare, education and environment to come together and share ideas about how sustainability can help guide their work practices.
“The 2015 Canada Winter Games is a fantastic opportunity to bring together like-minded organizations with synergies, who can work together to create sustainable solutions for the region, like the 2015 Games and longer-term projects,” explains CEO Stuart Ballantyne.
Then on Friday, Initiatives Prince George is hosting a workshop to share information on the local and regional procurement opportunities associated with the Games.
The procurement workshop will give businesses the change to talk with Tim Reeve, of Reeve Consulting, which is working closely with the Games
