Prince George, B.C. – No one hurt, but lots of onlookers as the bunk trailer for a logging truck rolled off it’s piggy back ride on 22nd Avenue this afternoon.
One telephone pole will have to be replaced, and traffic in the Quinn and 22nd area slowed to a crawl so folks could get a closer look.

…. must have forgotten to tie down the load …. or not tied it down secure enough to overcome vibration and directional changes.
…and I thought I had bad days at work! lol
Wonder if he just jumped out of the truck, or stayed put until someone cleared him to get out.
I don’t see any load??
I hope he was charged . If that happened on the highway it could of been fatal.
It is a b-train set of trailers. The b trailer rides empty on the a trailer. Looks like the a trailer wasn’t hooked up properly; either the fifth wheel pin didn’t engage the fifth wheel far enough to lock or it might have been sitting on top of the fifth wheel. Whatever happened, the a trailer simply became unhooked from the fifth wheel and the weight of the b trailer flopped the two of them over when he came around the corner from Quinn St. onto 22nd.
Palopu: the load he meant was the b trailer on top of the a trailer. And yes, they are secure in place when they are loaded.
lol, what a convenience …the DOT office is 1/2 a block away.
Yep better shut down those telephone lines before jumping out if the truck!
It’s a stacked trailer set. They drop into place on the frame of the truck to put less wheels on the pavement when empty. Looks like they missed something.
Looks like maybe his “tug” test didn’t uncover the 5th wheel pin not being locked.
Gotta do those tug tests people.
