Culinary Team Canada Arrives Soon

Wednesday, October 16, 2013 @ 3:50 AM
Prince George, B.C.- Culinary Team Canada will arrive in Prince George tomorrow as they prepare for their last “test” before  heading to Switzerland to compete in one of the most prestigious culinary challenges in the world.

The last practice event is set for October 21st at CNC. Prince George is the smallest community to ever host Culinary Team Canada and while in town, the team will be staying at the Ramada.

“This is obviously a very prestigious event for the city and we wanted to be a major part of it,” said Ramada General Manager Darren Aylward.

CNC’s Executive Director External Relations, Randall Heidt says several hotels expressed an interest in hosting the team, but in the end, the Ramada was selected, in part because of the international flavor of its staff “With new employees from Scotland, Japan, Wales, and the Netherlands, it’s really amazing how many new people the Ramada has brought to the community.”

The October 21st event, “An Evening with the Masters” sold out within hours of it being announced.

I think it is about time the Ramada fixed up the front canopy area. It must be 3+ years since they tore that front apart and left exposed insulation.

Does anyone know if the dumpster is a permanent fixture attached to the hotel?

Gus, that is so true. you would figure the city is a bit peeved about this as well.

stay focused with the story …. not the construction fiasco at the hotel.
It really is awesome to have the culinary team in P G and hopefully not the last. Thank you C N C for bringing in Team Canada
