Getting A Jump On The Ski Season
The calm before the storm at the PG Alpine Ski Club’s Annual Ski Swap/Sale
Prince George, BC – With winter on the way, the Prince George Alpine Ski Club is offering the chance to ‘gear up’ for a fraction of the cost of new equipment with its annual Ski Swap and Sale…
This is the 42nd annual swap/sale fundraiser for the club. The swap portion went yesterday with city residents dropping off skis, boots, snowboards and other related gear yesterday.
The sale begins in just moments and runs until 1pm this afternoon at NR Board and Ski at 805 1st Avenue.
The club keeps 20-percent of the profits, with 80-percent going back to the former equipment owners.
The PG Alpine Racers are a competitive racing team located at both Purden and Tabor Mountains for the ski season. The club offers both an entry level and developmental program. Members work to raise 50-percent of the club’s annual operating budget through community fundraisers such as the swap/sale, firewood and sandbag sales.
