Prince George, B.C. – “Skateman” rolled into Prince George this morning, and took time to pose with Mayor Green at City Hall.
Also on hand for the photo op, were the members of “PG Rated Roller Girls” roller derby team.
For Skateman, Keven Ebra, the journey got a little chillier yesterday, with snow in Hinton Alberta before he hit the “other” side of the mountains and made his way to Prince George.
This is his 6th mega mile journey, but the first time he has crossed Canada. Each journey raises funds for a charity, and this one is collecting donations for the Childhood Cancer Canada Foundation. He has raised about $15 thousand dollars, which is far from his goal of $200 thousand.
From Prince George, there will be stops in Kamloops, then over to the Island for visits all along the Island before crossing back over and wrapping up the western swing of this trip in Vancouver.
But Skateman is not about to call it quits. Ebra plans to inline skate his way from Vancouver to Toronto , then make a coast to coast swing across the U.S. Again, he will be raising funds for charity and with a little luck, get his name in the record books for longest journey on inline skates.
Anyone wishing to make a donation to the cause, can visit Skateman’s website at www.skateman.ca
