RIP logging truck driver :(
So very sad to hear, my thoughts with his family.
To many of these incidents …. some are starting to look into the reason.
I wish we could open up a discussion on this topic without looking as if we were insensitive of the tragedy.
There is the personal tragedy in each of these cases …. but there is the much larger tragedy that we are not seriously trying to do something about these incidents, injuries and deaths occurring!!
We are allowing these deaths and injuries to happen by not doing anything tangible about them.
Gus: What would you suggest? Sometimes an accident is just an accident. Perhaps this poor fellow swerved to miss an animal. Maybe he had a steer tire blow and that put him into an unrecoverable skid. In fact….we don’t have anywhere near enough information about this accident to formulate an accurate opinion besides this: It was a tragedy through and through. Another hard worker just trying to feed his family has passed.
Truly, my hearfelt condolences…..
The rules and regulations around this industry are already very tight. Unfortunately accidents happen as Mercenary says, how do you know whether it was an animal or blown steering tire or perhaps avoiding another motorist that doesnt have 10% the regulations to adhere to.
