Charella Fire Damage Pegged at Thirty Grand

Sunday, November 10, 2013 @ 12:28 PM
Prince George, B.C. – Prince George Fire Rescue officials are estimating damage at $30,000 in this morning’s garage fire off Davis Road.

Fifteen Prince George Fire Rescue firefighters from three halls responded to a report of a structure fire in the 2900 block Charella Drive at 8:19 this morning. On arrival they found flames and thick smoke coming out of a detached, two-vehicle garage and shop. Assistant Chief Drew Larsen says there were no vehicles in the structure at the time, but efforts to put the fire out were hampered by the fact there were many items inside the garage.

The two people at home at the time were not harmed and there were no injuries to the firefighters who responded. A fire investigator will try to determine the cause of the fire.
