Robbery Suspects Face Charges
Prince George, B.C.- Two men are facing charges, following an attempted robbery of firearms.
Around noon on Saturday, November 9th Prince George RCMP responded to a complaint of a Break and Enter in progress on the 2200 block of the Hart Highway.
The victim had arrived home to find two males in the process of stealing his gun safe, which contained several firearms. The victim confronted the males and was assaulted. The suspects dropped the safe and fled the area at a high rate of speed in a black Hyundai Sante Fe.
Police later located the suspected getaway vehicle in the driveway of a residence on the 200 block of Claxton Crescent. Police executed a search warrant on the both the residence and the vehicle and located some of the items believed to have been worn during the robbery.
Police arrested a 45 year old male, Kevin Zaparoski inside the home. Police later arrested 46 year old Earl Johnson after viewing video surveillance images.
Police say Johnson was found in possession of a prohibited stun gun upon his arrest and it was also determined that he was breaching his curfew condition. Johnson had recently been released on bail with a number of conditions, after his alleged involvement in a recent Break and Enter and Forcible Confinement.
Both men are facing a number of charges including Robbery and Break and Enter to Steal Firearms.
