Slick Roads

Friday, November 15, 2013 @ 9:42 AM

Prince George, B.C.-  With  plenty of fresh wet snow on the ground,  roads in and around Prince George are,  as one reader wrote "slick  as  goose poo".

That was evident this morning when  the School Special bus  slid  at Wildwood and Killarney.   No one on the bus  hurt in  any way,  the  students all waited on the bus for  another bus to arrive and  take them to their school.

Killarney  was blocked  for  more than an hour.

A  city  truck  has just swung by  with the blade down  to clear some of th snow off the street.

Police are  once again advising  everyone to slow down, and drive with the conditions in mind.

Why did they move the snow count up to 12 CM from 10 and then not show up when its 20cm?

All the Money has been spend on what ??

Actually what they meant was 12cm PLUS 10cm so 20cm is not enough to call out the plows. (double that for many roads in the Hart of course)

Highway south this morning was UGLY! Two hours and twenty minutes to get to Quesnel.
