Police Said to Have 4 In Custody In Bjornson Death

Vanderhoof, B.C.-  There are reports four people have been arrested in connection with the brutal murder of 28-year-old Fribjon Bjornson.

The 28-year-old  father of two waslast seen  alive at a 7-11 store in Vanderhoof  in the early morning hours of January 12th, 2012.  He was reported missing on the 21st, his truck would be discovered  near Fort St. James two days later, and on February 3rd , RCMP would cordon off an abandoned home on the Nak'azdli reserve where human remains had been discovered.

The remains would be identified as those of  Fribjon Bjornson.

On the Facebook page that was set up when Fribjon went missing, his mother Eilleen writes:

"We have received the long awaited call from our investigative team. Arrests have been made! Four people were taken into custody yesterday.(Friday).  The police will be issuing a press release on Monday with more details. We would like to thank everyone for their support. Without you we couldn't have survived."   She also    hopes those  who have been arrested will admit to the crime and " save us the pain of a trial".

Further details are expected to  be released tomorrow.

If this is true that is great news

This is excellent news! I hope Mr. Bjornson’s family can now get some closure and that justice will be carried out!

Would it not be awesome if similar news eventually comes out re Maddy

Even better for Maddy and for Mackie Basil and others whose fate is unknown would be if they were found alive and well.
