People that don’t get a flu shot and continue to go anywhere around people with compromised immune systems are unbelievably ignorant. They should get stabbed with a flu shot as they walk in the door.

One gets an immunization records card when they get their flu shot, well I did anyways,
so take it with you when you go to the hospital, or no admittance through the door without the shot or a mask…
take the mask off get your but kicked out of the facility…

Lol flu shot lemmings! When they can get the flu shot to be 100% accurate just maybe I will get a flu shot. But until then I will not compromise my own immune system with that garbage.

My question is this: If those who get the flu shot feel so safe from us lepers who choose not to, what are they afraid of? Is the magic shield of the flu shot not supposed to render them practically invincible? I have heard MORE people say how incredibly sick they have gotten after receiving the shot than those who say their health has improved during flu season.

mythoughts…. I get the flu shot every year and haven’t had the flu in over a decade. In fact haven’t had a sniffly cold in three years.

My mother died because of the flu shot, the pharmaceutical admitted they had sent out some batchs that had caused death. Of course it did not help that the intern that look in on a Sunday was also sick so maybe the mask could have helped.

I was talked into the flu shot one year and I was so sick. Since then I just follow all the other rules. BUT I wish that people who feel sick stayed home instead of spreading flu, colds, etc. I remember one comment “it is only the flu”.

I once worked a job where our boss offered to pay for our flu shots. I was the only one that declined and I was also the only one that didn’t get sick with the flu that season. One girl missed nearly 2 weeks straight, she was so sick.

I personally have had the real flu 4 times in my life, twice without being vaccinated which both resulted in having to be hospitalized from complications such as severe dehydration and pneumonia. The other two times was after being vaccinated and the symptoms were greatly reduced, while I was still sick I was able to get over it quickly with much more mild symptoms. The Flu vaccine isn’t perfect by any means but even if you still get the flu and it can reduce the severity of it which is good enough for me, I wouldn’t wish the full blown flu on anyone. If me getting the shot can even minutely stop the spread of it to say someone who can’t get the shot like a chemo patient, who would die if they got the flu……well that helps me sleep at night. But I guess some people will never believe the science…some still believe the earth is flat and that evolution is made up.

Yah know….I’m all for wearing a mask, I don’t get the fu shot as some of the flu remedy is made with a drug that I’m allegic to and I would have to be watched in case of reaction. That being said, the wearing of the masks is a great idea not only for preventing the carriers of the flu, colds and the like, it also would help stop the spread of some really fatal infections that our hospital has had to combat and I personally know that some of those infections are carried by people and uncleanliness in the hospital as I was one that had one and it was not very pretty.

I do my utmost to stay away from the hospital. If it is absolutely necessary to go, I will wear a mask. I will not be strong armed or guilted into getting a vaccine.

Im not personally a big fan of the flu shot but Im all for the masks. There should be a mandatory hand washing and mask before you go past the main atrium of the hospital. I would suggest it is nothing more than a ploy to get more people to get a flu shot. I would even go further and state that it is an infringement on peoples rights, unless they can prove that not getting a shot, can actually be more detrimental that getting a shot.

Where is the Libertarian movement. Since when can a few people in a Health District start to coerce people to get vaccinations. Where is the Government on this issue. (Oh right, the Government is not working these days)

Perhaps you would have the hospital ban all visitors as visitors only impede your priorities for the hospital. And introduce additional viruses, etc.

There is actually another choice … don’t go into the hospital this winter. Voluntarily stay home. That will guarantee that you don’t share viruses, etc. with your loved ones (while they are in the hospital.)

Stop making mountains out of molehills. Nobody is forcing anyone to do anything they don’t want. Just wear a mask if you go to the hospital and you don’t want a shot. Why is that so hard to understand?

If you’re looking for some sort of guarantee in terms of health, you’re going to be looking a long time. This is just a simple precaution. Deal with it.

Why did three pharmacists suggest I might not want to get a flu shot due to other things it will do to my body? Two of those pharmacists don’t have pharmacies.
Is it lobbyists pushing a drug in Ottawa or Victoria? Not a conspiracy theorist, but trying to get some factual information is kinda difficult.

It is true that getting a flu shot is not a guarantee that you won’t get the flu, primarily because there are multiple strains of the flu and the people who decide on the composition of the vaccine have to make an educated guess as to which strains to immunize against. It is also true that a small percentage of people will react badly to the vaccine. That percentage is very small, so unless you have reason to think that you are in that category (e.g. have a known allergy to one of the ingredients), it shouldn’t deter you.

The fact is that vaccination confers health benefits for the population as a whole that greatly outweigh the small incidence of bad reactions and the cost vaccination. Over the last century, a number of diseases have been virtually eradicated due primarily to widespread vaccination against them. Smallpox, once a devastating disease, has been completely eliminated. In most countries polio has also been eliminated. The only countries in which polio persists are countries like Nigeria and Pakistan in which ignorant Muslim clerics oppose vaccination (and even murder members of vaccination teams) because they think that the vaccines are intended to sterilize Muslims. Pertussis (whooping cough), once a dread childhood disease, has almost been eliminated in countries with widespread vaccination. Fact of the matter is simple. If the hospital actually “cleaned” the hospital, the chances of cross contamination and infection* (*post operatively) would drop by amazing amounts. They haven’t actually “cleaned” the hospital in years. Dust is on everything, heavens forbid you need to go there, but if you do, have a real good look around.

It’s a freaking pathogen farm, and the waiting area for emergency is twice as bad as other areas of the hospital. They have become too happy with the environmentally friendly cleaners, most of which are not used correctly or mixed to the correct concentrations to be effective.

Mix to that the complacency of the staff and house keeping personnel and wow what a mix. Teaching hospital??? What are they teaching, the wrong way to conduct things in an A-septic manner. HVAC filters could and should be changed every three months, more so during flu periods and severe weather changes to ensure the air is clean within the facility.

Amazing here is a wide disbelief on the flu shot developed by scientists thus calling these scientists charlatans. Now when a rigged survey says a majority consensus of scientists believe man will burn up the earth people and media unquestionably believe and follow like sheeple.

Oh I always get the flu shot and never had the flu with it. I have had the flu when I did not get the shot. Never have gotton sick after the shot and I don’t glow in the dark.

If you ever listen to the news, you would know that there was a big controversy at the hospital regarding getting vaccinated, and those who chose not to be vaccinated, were told that they would have to wear masks.

Try and keep up to date with what is going on in this town. Come out from the middle of the Herd once in awhile and see what is going on.

My mom had to get vaccinated last year mandated by her employer. I have never seen her so sick… she missed nearly 6-weeks of work after getting her ‘flu shot’.

Personally I think this shows our Northern Health to be gamblers. Gambling on odds. 1000’s of flu viruses and they go with the odds of a single vaccine for a single flu… worse yet some flu vaccines can make one more sick then if they had not gotten the vaccine, odds are how many people are intentionally infected and made sick… some vaccines actually weaken the immune system and odds are this can lead to future problems.

Its like the super bugs of today… a recent out break of Whooping cough in Washington State was found that most of the cases involved children that had been vaccinated for whooping cough and their immune system wasn’t able to do what its supposed to because of the vaccinations had created conditions for the whooping cough to mutate to a stronger strain.

BTW in the United States every single vaccine shot has an insurance cost to cover liabilities… some vaccines pay in the range of 10-20 cents per dose, but some like the DPT have shot up from 11-cents a dose in the 1980’s up to $11 dollars a dose with $8 of that made up of liability insurance… this is because more and more people are successfully suing the pharmaceutical companies for damage done by vaccinations. To avoid liability cost the health care industry is now pushing DPT as soon as a child is born so that things like infant death syndrome can be blamed on the vaccines and not the vaccine makers… even for new born that are born premature. Its insane and its all about money and profits.

BTW It has been found that nearly all the people sitting on the regulator boards in the CDC that regulates vaccines are in some way financially connected to the pharmaceutical companies… total conflict of interest, but its OK because they are the professionals right?

Can anyone please point to a single scientific study that has two control groups and is fully documented showing vaccines are safe… you can’t because these tests have never been done in a truly transparent scientific way.

Sure the vaccines work some of the time… odds are… but its a gamble.

If I have to wear a mask when in the hospital then so should everyone. Just because someone made the pharmaceutical companies and the doctors that push them rich shouldn’t give them an exemption if its truly about health safety in the hospitals. Those that gamble with odds shouldn’t get the exemption.

Common now with all your talk of no climate change and your expert opinion one would think you would be able to dispute at least one point with some real world scientific facts. Like I said post some facts if you want to debate the subject. A proper transparent scientific study with two control groups as it relates to side effects, effectiveness, and open transparent methodology.

The tin foil hats are those in the health industry that push these vaccinations without taking the responsible decision of providing proof of their assertions before implementing draconian policies. In a way they are no better then the practitioners of the past that pushed blood letting as a way of curing all ills… abusing their authority because they have the letters beside their name and they can.

IMHO

The health authority is gambling that a vaccinated person is not going to get any other virus that can be spread at the hospital. That a vaccinated person is safer than a healthy person simply because they were vaccinated.

If we are worried about the spread of virus in the hospital they would be better off cleaning the place properly or enforcing everyone that visits the hospital to wear a mask without discrimination. Targeting a sick person makes much more sense to me.
