2015 Games Gear Now Available
Prince George, B.C. – The first shipment of 2015 Canada Games Gear has arrived.
This initial offering is of t-shirts and hoodies, and is available only at the Canadian Tire in Prince George.
“This early production of our 2015 Canada Witer Games merchandise line was a direct response to requests form the community” says Games Director of Revenue Generation, Todd Doherty.
It is hoped the sale of merchandise will pump about $150 thousand dollars into the coffers for the Games. It is an amount that is not out of reach says Doherty, as other Games Hosts have raised at least that much in a shorter lead up time to the actual events.
This initial offering comes with a contest. To take part, take a “selfie” shot on Instagram with you in your best Games Gear. Tag the photo with #2015GamesGear on Instagram, and that will be your chance to win weekly prizes. The full contest rules can be accessed here.

I can see it now… 2016… bags upon bags of this clothing being dropped off at Value Village, or being used to wash cars
thats a pretty ugly tshirt, hope the hoodies are nicer :)
Where is the clothing made?
I agree. Not something i will wear. WHo designed this junk?
I don’t pay to wear advertising.
“I don’t pay to wear advertising.”
Really? Did you pull all the make, model and dealer logos off your vehicle?
Definitely not an inventive design. Looks like it was done by committee …..
20/15 visual acuity is a bit better than average. :-)
I wonder if that is Prince George, British Columbia, Canada … or Prince George, Maryland, USA?
I would love to see weaksauce wearing his/her car …. ;-)
I certainly pulled the dealer sticker & plate frames because they looked like crap. Of course, anyone with a tiny fragment of a brain could see that a car is not the same as a crappy t-shirt.
I might buy one if it is made in Canada. Where are they made? Everyone likes getting t shirts for Xmas!
Good thing we did not get this 5 years from now, than the logo would be “20/20 a perfect vision”
yeah, I have not offered any help on the committee, but I will likely buy a T-shirt if it is reasonably priced. Small contribution other than property taxes.
If we listened to all the Naysayers….. we would still have wooden sidewalks and outhouses in our backyards.
Wow weaksauce, did you ever miss my point.
Everything you buy, whether it’s clothes, cars, a blender or a bag of chips has a logo on it. Whether you are wondering around the city or at home, the product logo is displayed.
You have in fact paid the company to advertise for them.
“If we listened to all the Naysayers….. we would still have wooden sidewalks”
In places like Portland, OR, they listened to yea-sayers and replaced concrete sidewalks with wooden sidewalks …. :-)

Less rainwater to collect since it goes into the pervious soil below and hangs around to water the trees.
That is from the SMART yea-sayers ….. ;-)
“You have in fact paid the company to advertise for them.”
The “advertising” on most of my clothing is on a tag in the inside of the neck or waist of pants … size … material … country of origin … size …. and sometimes some hieroglyphics for washing and ironing instructions……
I kind of don’t bother with he ironing instruction because I lost our iron about 35 years ago and can’t find it anymore.
@ Pylot, I didn’t take up this exchange you did. Your point is silly. You’re talking about brand identification (obviously advertising) which is unavoidable, however, I can walk out any day & buy a good looking black t-shirt that doesn’t have ‘Abercrombie & Fitch’ or some other crap printed all over it. Not so much a bag of Doritos or a blender.
Anyway, just my opinion anyhow.
Are you having a bad day Gus, need a hug
“I kind of don’t bother with he ironing instruction because I lost our iron about 35 years ago and can’t find it anymore.”
You can have one of mine – I have two and havent used either of them in about 20 years. Oh wait, I think the kids and I melted some was with one for a craft one time. LOL
I will probably buy a shirt just for support as He spoke said.
A T shirt made in Canada, hmmm I don’t ever remember cotton fields in Canada. I wonder how much a T shirt made in Canada is worth. The silk screening T shirts that are sold by the hundreds sell for under two bucks a piece.
I think if they are not charging more than $20 bucks for it. I will buy it.
Ugly. Other than having Prince George on them, there is nothing to make them stand out and make them “ours”. Even the font the letters and numbers are in is plain and boring. Put something on there that would be unmistakable of anything but Prince George.
Seen of bunch of this clothing at Canadian Tire to-day. The 2015 games people were selling it. Some of it did not look to bad, and was being bought by young (younger) people.
I suspect that there are very few people on this site under the age of 50 so they probably do not have much interest in what is taking place. I certainly don’t, however I can see that the younger people are.
Someone once said that the generation that bitches the most is the next generation to pass away. Hmmmmmmm.
I think “Prince George 4:20” t-shirts would outsell those fugly 2015 shirts.
Here is what they have to work with:

Those do not look like an “official” Prince George Canada Winter Games shirt. I do not know what the agreement is with respect to what the committee is allowed to do in the way of Games wear and other trinkets. They are likely restricted. I do not know what it says ion the arms or the back of the shirt.
I would be very leery about buying something that does not have an official logo on it.
In either case, they are nothing to “write home about”.
