Saturday, November 23, 2013 @ 5:11 AM

Prince George, B.C. – The Cariboo Cougars are on the road this weekend, looking to prove their abilities against the top team in the BC Major Midget Hockey League.

The Cougars, winners of five of their last eight games, hold down fourth place in the 11-team league with an 8-7-1 record, good for 17 points.  They’ll tangle in Kelowna with the Okanagan Rockets, who boast a record of 13-2-1 and hold a two point lead atop the standings with 27 points.

The Cougars will have to find a way to shut down a red hot Rockets scoring machine, which has put the puck in the opposition net 90- times while giving up just 39 goals so far this season.  The Cougars have scored 56 goals and given up 55.

The clubs meet at 3 this afternoon and again at 10 Sunday morning.
