Kids Reap Benefits of Local Generosity
Prince George, B.C. – The 17th annual REAPS Toy Drive has received plenty of help this year in providing toys to local children’s organizations.
The society accepted quality used toys over a four-hour period today and Executive Director Terri McClymont says the turnout was steady at the group’s office on Gorse Street. “We were getting toys that covered the age group from zero to 18. They’ll be going out to the 14 agency groups that signed up with us.”
She says Remax has donated a truck which will be used for the delivery of the toys to those 14 groups on Monday. The toys will be distributed to children over the holidays.
However, the toy collection isn’t over yet. McClymont says REAPS will still be accepting items at 1950 Gorse Street next week as people (like volunteers above) will be in the office boxing things up. As well, Winners will be collecting toys for this project until the end of the month.
