Cougars Make A Trade

Tuesday, November 26, 2013 @ 10:17 AM

Prince George, B.C.-  The Prince George Cougars have made a trade with Kamloops.

The Cougars have  picked up  1995-born forward Aaron Macklin (High River, AB) from the Kamloops Blazers in exchange for 1996-born forward Carson Bolduc (Salmon Arm, B.C.).

Bolduc is into his second WHL season and has had had two goals in 17 games with the Cougars. Bolduc has strong ties with Kamloops having  played both his Bantam and Midget hockey  there.

As for  Macklin, he  is 6’2”, 195 pounds and has tallied three goals and seven points along with 25 penalty minutes in 20 games so far this season.

Macklin has spent his entire WHL career with the Blazers. In 87 games he has scored four goals and 11 points, and also played in 13 playoff games with the Blazers last season scoring three goals.

“We’re looking forward to adding a player with Aaron’s skill-set,” said Prince George Cougars Head Coach Mark Holick. “He’s got size, plays the game physically, and has shown that he can chip in offensively too.”

Macklin will make his Cougars debut this weekend when the Cougars entertain their B.C. Division rivals, the Vancouver Giants for a Friday-Saturday weekend double-header.

Isn’t Bolduc the guy that recently walked away from the team, wanting a trade because he wasn’t happy with his playing time?

I think you’re thinking of Alex Forsberg; he through a fit last Christmas and left the team.

I did not know that. Thanks.

how about trade Brodsky, his offspring and her husband…
then maybe things will improve…

that is a very big MAYBE…

I think they have tried everything else more than once with little success.
This just might be the problem.
