IPG To Hold Market Expansion Forum
Prince George, B.C – Initiatives Prince George is taking full advantage of the Premier’s Natural Resource Forum that will take place in Prince George January 22nd and 23rd.
One day ahead of the forum, IPG has arranged to hold a “Market Expansion Forum” which will focus on the procurement opportunities presented by resource development.
There are two sessions set, with TransCanada, Enbridge, Walter Energy, New Gold, Petrium Resources Inc. in one, while Apache and Chevron, Spectra Energy, Rio Tinto Alcan, Taseko Mines and BC Hydro will be in the other. The sessions will run concurrently.
The companies will outline their project’s procurement processes, schedules and opportunities so Prince George and regional businesses have all the information they need to move forward with their plans to try and secure the business of providing goods and services to those major companies.
The event is not free. Anyone wanting to attend will have to pre register.

Not free is a bit of an understatement. I’ve been to similar forums before, and all these companies do is give you a glossy presentation and redirect you to their website.
I must say IPG has the swellest website in the world. They even have you in mind with their built in “rose coloured glasses” for you to see through when presenting Prince George. Streetscape Google for the real George Street. Really sad. IMO.
Total waste of money. One day ahead of the natural resources forum. The NRF is where these companies can make their pitch. Why IPG; because if they don’t look like they are attempting to do something, people will realize the truth about this tax payer funded travel agency for the political elite. Of so they think.
