Prince George, BC – The scene from the Foothills Bridge this morning, as winter continues to envelope the region…

This morning's wind eased, giving the steam rising off the Nechako a chance to swirl above.

The polar temperatures of the past week have slowed the river's pace.  While the river is remains open, the large chunks of ice bobbing their way downstream foreshadow the coming freeze.
