Prince George. – The Prince George Cougars Hockey Club has  announced  that rookie goaltender Ty Edmonds (1996 – Winnipeg, MB) has been named to Team Cherry of the 2014 CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game, which will be played on January 15th in Calgary, AB.
 
Edmonds is among 13 WHL players chosen for the event, and is the only WHL goaltender selected to participate. In 26 games this season, Edmonds has a record of 9-9-1-2 with a goals-against-average of 3.44, a save percentage of .901 and two shutouts.  His two shutouts have him tied for the WHL rookie lead.
