Prince George, B.C. – Christmas arrived a little early for the Prince George Community Policing Society.
Having recently retired their sponsored Hyundai Tucson, they were in need of a new vehicle and the 5th and Carney Subaru dealership came to the rescue.
Earlier today, the Community Policing Society was presented with a new, Subaru Crosstrek.
With a big red bow on top, the all wheel drive vehicle, was turned over to the Society by 5th and Carney General Manager Sharmon Thompson and Sales Manager John Murchison.
“I just want to give Sharmon a big hug” said Community Policing Coordinator Linda Parker as she threw her arms around the dealership’s General Manager, “Sharmon has been a Community Policing supporter for some time, and there just aren’t words to say thank you enough.”
Community Policing Staff and volunteers rely on the sponsored vehicles to get around in the community as they deliver crime prevention education, conduct vehicle patrols, home and business security assessments and carry out their speed watch campaigns.
