Suspect Truck Located
Terrace, B.C. – Terrace RCMP say they’ve identified the driver of a truck that may have been involved in a fatal crash Tuesday afternoon.
Investigators say the driver of the pickup is a 44 year old Prince Rupert man, but police aren’t saying much more than that. Constable Angela Rabut says while RCMP believe the vehicle was somehow involved in the crash, she can’t comment further to protect the integrity of the investigation.
A 27 year old Prince Rupert man was killed Tuesday afternoon when the car he was a passenger in collided with a gravel truck on Highway 16 west of Terrace. RCMP had issued a news release asking for help locating a pickup that may also have been involved the collision but that they believed had “fled” the accident site toward Prince Rupert. Police said at the time that the truck may have suffered damage.
Rabut says the investigation of the crash is still in its early stages.
