Prince George, BC –  The final has been set at the BC Scotties Tournament of Hearts…

The Victoria rink skipped by Kesa Van Osch took tonight's semi-final with a 10-2 win over Abbotsford's Allison MacInnes, earning the right to face defending champion Kelly Scott in tomorrow's 5pm gold medal game at the Prince George Golf & Curling Club.  Van Osch finished first overall in the standings after the round robin, with an 8-and-1 record, to Scott's 7-and-2, but lost 8-6 to the reigning BC champ in Friday night's Page playoff game.  The win gave Scott a bye into tomorrow's final.

Tonight's defeat ended a marathon performance by the MacInnes foursome, who had to played a total of four games yesterday – after losing the final round robin game, the rink went on to win three tie-breakers, finishing just before midnight, to advance to this morning's Page playoff game.  (Photo at right shows MacInnes in the final tie-breaker, where she edged Tracey Jones of Prince George 6-5.) 

This morning's game saw MacInnes down Prince George's Patti Knezevic 12-6 to advance to tonight's semi final.  Skip Allison MacInnes, Third Grace MacInnes, Second Diane Gushulak, and Lead Amanda Tipper accepted their bronze medals this evening.  The rink earned its berth at the BC Women's Provincial Curling Championship through their ranking in the Canadian Team Ranking System.
