Is someone texting

Wonder if that little black car was pushed into that position by the accident? The photos make it look like it was going the wrong way on 4th avenue.

There is another on Cowart rd. Fire trucks and ambulance there right now. From where I’m at, looks like a vehicle is on it’s side. Not sure what’s going on down there. Right before the hill.

4th and Brunswick is the site of numerous accidents. Don’t know why as one should just follow the lights but it does get a lot of collisions. Hope all the occupants are okay.

Getting to work on time isn’t that important people.

My guess little car running red light black truck crossing Brunswick. No matter by the look of the damage of the black car someone was going too fast.

other way around doogood, truck was speeding down 4th and hit the car crossing Brunswick

Car was dropped by parachute, truck was going backwards too fast…………….

I hope ICBC goes after the City for some of the damages caused to vehicles because of their snow clearing policy.

Keep dreaming. Ultimately, the drivers are at fault.

I had a friend who upon leaving town had no idea that a section of a paved highway had not been sanded at all. As it was all downhill he had no chance to stop the car on the black ice, it spun around several times and eventually slammed sideways into a parked truck which could not make it up the hill. The driver of the truck narrowly escaped injury at the last moment as he was busy putting on chains.

It was ruled that it was the fault of the highways department which had not sanded the stretch and had not closed it off to all traffic.

Not all drivers are at fault, circumstances are different depending on different conditions.

BTW, as a passengers I only suffered a badly bruised right arm and elbow and a cracked rib.

I bet if you looked hard enough, you’d find a cell phone in the middle of a text in one of the vehicles

Nah, its that lawyers office in the picture. At night they throw water on the road and tinker with the traffic lights. :)

In this case I’m fairly confident that fault lies with the driver. I drove through that intersection at about 7:45 am today and no no difficult stopping when I needed to and going when I needed to.

However, at some point someone is going to go after the city for damages if the streets continue falling apart like they have for the past several years. People have successfully sued highway maintenance companies in the past; the city is in the same business and should be held liable for their shoddy work.
