Iverson New P.G. Fire Rescue Chief

Prince George, B.C. – It's official, Prince George Fire Rescue has a new Chief.
John Iverson, who has been Acting Chief, since the unexpected departure of John Lane last August, has been selected to take on the post as Fire Chief for the City of Prince George Fire, Rescue Department.
Chief Iverson joined the City as a Firefighter in April 1987, and was promoted to the rank of Captain in July 2009. During his career, Chief Iverson had considerable involvement with the IAFF Local 1372 and the Professional Firefighters Association, and held various positions for nearly twenty years. He was promoted to the management ranks as the Deputy Chief, Operations, in March 2011, and has served as the Acting Fire Chief since August 2013.
