Recognizing The ‘Heart’ Of Our Community
Prince George, BC – The City of Prince George is, once again, seeking public input as it looks to honour those who are the heart and soul of this community – our volunteers.
Nominations are now being accepted for the city's annual volunteer recognition awards, covering four areas: Recreation, Community Service, Youth of the Year, and Outstanding Volunteer.
Recreation Coordinator, Cheryl Livingstone-Leman is encouraging city residents to put forward the names of those who've made a significant contribution over the past year.
Nomination packages are available online on the city's webpage, www.princegeorge.ca, click on City Living, and then hit the Civic Appreciation tab. Or you can contact Community Services at 250-561-7640. The packages must be submitted by 4pm, March 3rd.
The volunteers will be honoured at a Civic Appreciation Dinner set for April 26th.
