Copper Wire Theft In Prince George

Wednesday, January 29, 2014 @ 12:35 PM

Prince George BC – First thieves stole a forklift, then they made off with a large spool of copper wire early yesterday.

Police say, thieves stole a forklift, then helped themselves to a 300 metre roll of insulated copper wire from a light industrial compound on 22nd Ave,  in Prince George.

The thieves entered a compound, and then successfully made off with the forklift , and the spool of copper wire . It is believed that the forklift crossed highway 97, travelled down Griffiths Ave, past Prince George Secondary School , and then onto Massey Drive. It is believed that the forklift then travelled north onto Massey Drive,  to an area behind the Kia Auto dealership, where the spool was presumably loaded onto a vehicle,  and then removed from the area.

The forklift has been recovered  undamaged. The value of the wire is about $3,000 dollars.

If you have any information you are asked to call police.

Funny they did not call their buddy with the truck to swing by to pick up the load.

How would no one see a fork lift driving around with a big spool of wire at night, I mean that is a busy street.

Think this one is called “people don’t want to get involved”.

Forklift driven on a 4″ ice thickened, rutted, unsalted, unsanded, residential street in Prince George? Kudos.

…call their buddy …to pick up the load…? Might be a bigger fine being caught on a cell phone while operating a fork lift. Could happen. You don’t know.

ahhahhahh this is sooo funny
