The thing I have never been able to understand is why buses do not run on statutory holidays? For those who do not have wheels it becomes a ‘bum a ride’ day or ‘stay at home’ day. They can’t even go to the mall in this -20 weather without calling a taxi unless they live across the street.
“The Original Harlem Globetrotters”
I wonder how long they will be allowed to keep that name? Nothing original about them anymore. Tricks and antics are the same and there is probably not a single original player there.
Something like the reborn or renewed Harlem Globetrotters might be more honest.

The thing with the family day I have to wonder, why is that only once a year? How about once or twice a week on weekends plus holidays, with buses running as slinky wrote?
They owe it to PG since we are paying $300,000 per year to support the operation. Let the citizens get some value out of it. I think many people are afraid to go there because they are afraid of universities.
I don’t think anyone has the illusion that the Globetrotters playing today are the same team that played in the 70’s.
I think the reason they use “original” is that there are a few other teams that capitalize on the Harlem name. This team is the original franchise of the Harlem Globetrotters. If it were the original lineup I think zombie apocalypse would be one term that would come to mind. ;)
Other teams that capitalize on the Harlem name being the “Harlem Clowns” for example.
