Arbitration Award for UNBC Faculty Association

Prince George, B.C. – UNBC and its Faculty Association have received the details of the interest arbitration award of Arbitrator Vincent Ready.
The award decides the July 1,2012 – June 30, 2014 Collective Agreement between the University and the Faculty Association. It provides a general wage increase of 2.5% in each of the two years.
Other non-monetary proposals have been left for future collective bargaining.
The University and the Faculty Association have issued a thank you to Vincent Ready and those involved in the bargaining and interest arbitration process. “Both parties look forward to implementing this decision as expeditiously as possible” reads an official statement from UNBC and the UNBC Faculty Association.

Why on earth are these contracts this far behind? Sort of the same with City budgets. They are from Jan 01 to Dec 31, yet the budgets are never approved till February and maybe even early March.
To me that says something about the rest of the organizations.
To me that says you have no clue about accounting procedures and the LAWS governing accounting rules for government and taxpayer funded agencies.
Good thing you didn’t get elected or we’d be in an even bigger mess than we are now.
