BCCLA Files Complaints on CSIS and RCMP Activity

Thursday, February 6, 2014 @ 11:29 AM

Prince George, B.C. – The BC Civil Liberties Association has filed two complaints against the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) and the RCMP.

The complaints allege  the two agencies illegally monitored and spied on activities of community groups and First Nations opposed to the Enbridge Northern Gateway Pipeline project.

The claims allege some of the intelligence gathered appears to have been shared with the National Energy Board, including information about ForestEthics Advocacy which was an intervening party in the Board's hearings, as well as with Enbridge and other oil and energy companies.  The BCCLA  questions  if this could compromise the fairness of the  Enbridge herings.

The BCCLA claims are based on  the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, alleging  the RCMP and CSIS interfered with the freedoms of expression, assembly and association by gathering intelligence about citizens opposed to the Enbridge project. The complaints also claim the spying activities may have included illegal searches of private information

Comments

Chuck Strahl and the other bright lights of the Conservative party have their fingerprints all across this dossier. It was not coincidental that Joe Oliver referred to opponents of Northern Gateway as “ecoterrorists”, a way to justify publicly funded spying on peaceful opponents of Northern Gateway.

Considering the threats made against the pipeline intelligence gathering would be prudent.

You could say that seamut, but were does it end? allow this shit to happen without raising concern who’s next and for what reason? you speak out on Harper government or write a letter to the paper condemning them on an issue is it ok for the RCMP or CSIS to investigate you as a threat??

Writing a letter condemning something is a lot different than threatening to take up arms and discussing how “blood will flow” – as has been done repeatedly, even on this forum.

Maybe immoral, but not illegal. Since most of the funding for anti-pipeline activities in Canada comes from foreign sources, I would agree it is an important security issue for our country. ForestEthics for example is based in San Francisco. They claim credit for having generated 87 percent of the letters of comment sent to the NEB regarding the Review Panel for the Northern Gateway. They in turn are funded by the Tides Foundation which does it’s best to prevent Canada from being able to export oil to no-one except the US.

911 changed the way governments operate in the USA as well as Canada at the least.

It is not only the USA which has Homeland Security and the virtual carte blanche they get if they just think the word TERRORIST.

Clause 1 of the Charter of rights and freedom can be invoked to quash the right of assembly. They have to show cause if push comes to shove, but it can be done.

“The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms guarantees the rights and freedoms set out in it subject ONLY TO SUCH REASONABLE LIMITS PRESCRIBED BY LAW as can be demonstrably justified in a free and democratic society.”

Contractor:

Would you then agree that CSIS should investigate the following companies that have funded Northern Gateway to the tune of $10 million each?

MEG Energy: 89.1 per cent foreign ownership
Nexen: 69.9 per cent foreign ownership
Suncor Energy:56.8 per cent foreign ownership
Cenovus: 54.7 per cent foreign ownership
Total: Majority ownership by France

By the way the other 5 companies that each ponied up $10 million to get Northern Gateway built, have not identified themselves. Want to bet that a few of them are Chinese?

Do you think that Chuck Strahl quit CSIS to lobby for Northern Gateway so he could take a pay cut? Who is paying his salary? Same goes for Kinsley.

Typical dicktatorship behaviour, all being done at the request and bidding of Big Oil. I have always claimed that Big Oil runs this country, and Harper and his gestapo constantly affirm my opinion in their treasonous actions.

Now Heir Harper is making changes to the Election Act; separating the administration of elections from the enforcement of election law. The Chief Electoral Officer will continue to oversee elections while the Commissioner — who will be appointed to a non-renewable 7 year fixed term — will now be will be within the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions. Remember this, the Commissioner of Elections Canada does the investigating upon the request, and direction, of the Elections Officer.

“The Public Prosecution Service of Canada (PPSC) is a federal government organization, created on December 12, 2006, when the Director of Public Prosecutions Act, Part 3 of the Federal Accountability Act, came into force.”
“The PPSC fulfills the responsibilities of the “Attorney General of Canada” in the discharge of his criminal law mandate by prosecuting criminal offences under federal jurisdiction and by contributing to strengthening the criminal justice system.”~ Wikipedia

So the question needs to be asked, if the PPSC works within, and for, the Attorney General of Canada, who does the Attorney General of Canada report to? Yup, you guessed it and win the prize… the answer is the Harper Government!!! From being an agency separate, and independent, from our elected government, our Commissioner of Elections Canada watchdog is now under the Harper Government control. But the changes to the Election Act doesn’t just stop here!

Changes to the Election Act will also hike donation limits, and remove the ban on unlimited secret gifts to election candidates, and allows banks to make unlimited loans to candidates, and all these changes will allow wealthy people, banks, Big Oil, and other multi-billion dollar corporations to have more undemocratic and corrupting influence over politicians… as if they don’t have enough already!!!

Harper was right when he said; “You won’t recognize Canada when I am finished with it”

Why not Herb. They are going to be putting in a few billion more by the time it’s built by the way.
Like uh you think its some kind of conspiracy that the entire world wants to invest in Canada’s oil and gas industry? Some of you ‘huggers are really sad.

Claims by anti-pipeliners of violence to anyone who tries to go to work and that ‘blood will flow’ and they’re not expecting that to be investigated? Yeah right.

JohnnyWalkerBelt

What threats of violence are you referring to? News to me that any have been made. Been drinkin’ agin? If there were, it would be cause for a police investigation, not CSIS.

Contractor

You want CSIS to investigate both the companies investing in Northern Gateway and the people that oppose it?

On one hand, you Con supporters lament the nanny state, yet you seem to welcome a police state instead. Just wait until the next election, I think you will see that most Canadians are not on the same page as you.

There is little to no opposition to LNG exports. Northern Gateway is a dirty deal, and it will burn those who supported it by the time it is defeated.

“So the question needs to be asked, if the PPSC works within, and for, the Attorney General of Canada, who does the Attorney General of Canada report to? Yup, you guessed it and win the prize… the answer is the Harper Government!!!”

==================================

The PPSC actually reports to PARLIAMENT (not just the Prime Minister or the party in power), via the Attorney General.

This raises an interesting question though and that is, if not Parliament, who do you think it should report to? Ronald McDonald? Mr. PG? Charlie Sheen?

OMGGG They musta got a BIG file on seamut and gus then… :)

Oop… forgot to mention the Attorney General of Canada is also the Justice Minister; Peter Macay…can’t get anymore independent from the Harper Government than having the Commissioner of Elections Canada reporting to one of Harper’s henchmen!

Thanks NMG.

This is all so fascinating to watch and witness, this really is what it must have been like living in 1930’s Germany. Spying on it’s own citizens, just substitute Aboriginals & Environmentalists for the Jews, right Heir Harper?

“Oop… forgot to mention the Attorney General of Canada is also the Justice Minister”

As it has been for what, 150 years? So you forgot to answer my question. Who do you think the Attorney General should report to if not Parliament?

Re: Electoral reform, that is indeed an interesting set of proposals to say the least.

I thought I answered your question NMG. The Commissioner of Elections Canada now reports to The Attorney General of Canada, who is Peter Mackay, and Peter Mackay reports to Overlord; Stephen Harper.

Before this change the Commissioner of Elections Canada was independent of, and from, a member of an elected government.

Sorry, I thought you were commenting on the reporting structure of the PPSC as well and not just the linkage to Elections Canada.

Herbster were you sleeping I have heard direct threats of violence in CBC interviews.

How come lefties in general are so violent and irrational. Thought they were lovers not fighters?

Contractor you forgot the tides foundation who do not disclose donors. There is evidence that Saudi Arabia is a donor considering the oil sands is a threat to them.

Hey people by your reasoning the Attorney General works for the government of the day so your point is?

So all you hypocrites are okay with dumb ass rich celebrities, billionaires who lead a life that you cannot imagine dictating your standard of living and dictating to a democratically electing majority, that is majority government. Oh now where did that standard of living originate from, oil. Not rubbing sticks together.

Can anyone name me one celebrity who while expounding the evils of oil have lowered their standard of living to the level of us commoners.

Stillsmoking why would I be investigated? I am not a violent irrational lefty.

Obviously, BCCLA is a front to the NDP – those people who have no idea of how and why jobs are important. Should there be investigations, given threats of on-site violence to those involved in the pipeline development? Yes, most of the protest is financed from the US – WHY, do you ask??
It is also worth noting that the majority of the protesters are not from the north. Also, most northerners support Gateway.
Continue your investigations RCMP and CSIS.
So, who is likely to benefit the most by Gateway? Local natives! Oh, I forgot, peeps will insist it will be those BAD, BAD investors. Funny, where would we be without investors?

Seamutt

Provide a link to one violent threat made against Northern Gateway. Just one. Anyone you choose. Go ahead I dare you! Bet you can’t!

I have heard a lot of people say they were willing to go to jail to stop Northern Gateway. Civil disobediance is a far step from violent threats, and does not require CSIS intervention, as long as we live in a free society.

“This is all so fascinating to watch and witness, this really is what it must have been like living in 1930’s Germany. Spying on it’s own citizens, just substitute Aboriginals & Environmentalists for the Jews, right Heir Harper?” posted by People#1

What kind of spoiled, milk-fed puke posts this kind of drivel???

Nuff snuff

Please provide some evidence that there were threats of violence made. But you can’t – you have simply drunk Joe Olivers kool aid when he called opposition to Nothern Gateway “ecoterrorists”

Most northerners support Northern Gateway? Again please provide proof. Not according to the poll done on this site!

Local natives will benefit the most from Northern Gateway? That is a laugh, since the majority of them oppose it. Do you think they really don’t know what is in their best interest?

Weaksauce

What kind of spoiled, milk-fed puke posts this kind of drivel???

The liberal social democrats were some of the first to go to Auschwitz

A true democrat (Voltaire) once said

“I disagree strongly with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.”

Steven Harpers Conservatives say
“Disagree with us and you are a terrorist who will be investigated by CSIS”

http://www.vancouverobserver.com/politics/new-poll-shows-60-percent-british-columbians-opposed-enbridge-northern-gateway-pipeline

Meh… 60% or 50% of milk fed puke British Columbians opposed to Northern Gateway, that’s still a lot of citizens to spy on! Oh right, it’s not the milk fed pukes who are against the pipeline who are spied on, just the ones who are Aboriginals, and/or environmentalists! Gotcha…

No matter what the subject, you know when the inevitable comparisons to Nazi Germany come out, it’s a good indicator that the person has no idea what they’re talking about.

Hebster; lets not forget “disagree with us and you are an “enemy” of Canada.”

or what about this one; “disagree with us on this internet “spying bill” then you are siding with the paedophiles.”

Sums up the Conservative way of thinking!

Wow, what a bunch of hype and drivel.
Just another make work project by the BCCLA, or as I like to refer to them, “people with a degree who can’t get a job”

Godwin’s Law.

JohnnyWalkerbelt

Do you really not think we are fast approaching a police state? From cops that taser a man to death for holding a stapler,to shooting a man in the back, to CSIS tracking travellers laptops and cell phones, and monitoring legitimate protest groups, do you not listen to the news?

What kind of Canada does Steven Harper envisage? One with a lot more prisons and prisoners. He warned us that we would not recognize Canada once he was done with it, and he is making good on his promise.

Godwin’s Law does not dispute the validity or otherwise of references or comparison to Hitler or the Nazis. As such a comparison or reference may sometimes be appropriate in a discussion, Godwin has argued that overuse of the Nazi comparison should be avoided as it waters down the impact of any valid usage. In its purest sense, the rule has more to do with completely losing one’s sense of proportion rather than just mentioning Nazis specifically.[1][2] The law was initiated as a counter-meme to flippant comparisons to the Nazis, rather than to invoke a complete ban on comparisons. As Mike Godwin wrote himself in 2008:[3]
“”When I saw the photographs from Abu Ghraib, for example, I understood instantly the connection between the humiliations inflicted there and the ones the Nazis imposed upon death camp inmates—but I am the one person in the world least able to draw attention to that valid compariso

Here is where what happens when people#1 starts left wing bater..

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FONN-0uoTHI

Now we are Ahu Ghraib!!!??? Get. A. Grip.

Herbster settle down. Some of you people are going to blow a gasket. Heard it on a CBC interview, some native fellow.

Go ask the CBC, their address is in the phone book. They are able to do a search quite easily.

Never said we are Abu Ghraib. Get a grip yourself. The point is that valid comparisons can be made, but that Nazi references tend to blunt the arguments. See Northmans post above if you still do not get it.

I don’t think harper has any control over the RCMP, they seem to be an entity all to themselves.

Seamutt

“some native fellow” doesn’t cut the mustard. Issuing threats is a crime, and can be prosecuted by police. If this “fellow” actually said something criminal, then he should be investigated by the RCMP. CSIS should have no role here.

Did someone mention police state? Then lets not forget the machineguns on Parliament Hill, and a tripling of its security cameras. It’s almost as if Harper believes he is hated, hmm… I wonder why?

Must be so hard for him to accept given his massive ego and narcissistic attitude;

“Ms. May and Ms. O’Malley were surprised and a bit speechless when they saw the exhibit recently as guest Commons Speakers during a youth Parliament.

“When you walk in the door, all you see are pictures of Stephen Harper,” said Ms. May

“I’d say between every window, in every available space of the wall, at eye level, every available space has a photo of Stephen Harper.”

“You’ve got photos of Stephen Harper, but not of previous prime ministers,” she added. “Photos of Stephen Harper in different costumes, in different settings, dressed as a fireman, in Hudson Bay looking for polar bears, meeting the Dalai Lama, even the portrait of the Queen had to have Stephen Harper, but in a candid, behind her.”

A press aide to Mr. Harper said he would get back with an explanation, but didn’t.

Maybe one of his “Yes Men” like Bob Zimmer could explain this all to us?

Hey Herbster, and others:
Who lost the last provincial election – the one that ‘belonged’ to the one and only Colin Dix! That, my friend, is the poll that counts.
Why did northerners ‘change’? Even many union members began to wonder if there would be any jobs to be had with an NDP government. We may not care for the Libs that much but it is a much better choice than Colin and crew.

Not content with calling opponents to Northern Gateway “ecoterrorists” and possibly involving CSIS in domestic spying on innocent Canadian citizens, Joe oliver has recently announced a $40 million PR campaign on behalf of Northern Gateway and Kinder Morgan

http://www.cbc.ca/m/news/#!/content/1.2442844

nuffsnuff

Seems like every argument you have put forward has been rebuffed. If it comforts you that Christy Clark and the Liberals are back in charge of BCs’ future, then knock yourself out.

The issue being discussed is that CSIS is involved in monitoring legitimate protest groups in BC. That is an ominous sign about the state of our democracy.

herbster; I could not open the link you provided, but I am not surprised that Enbridge and TransCanada is suckling on the public teat!

When we let multi-billion dollar oil corporation run our government, should we be surprised?

So what happens if the Conservatives win the next Federal election? Are all you lefties going to implode?

Hey, they took down one of the hundreds of Harper pictures hanging on every available space in the House of Commons. Don’t know why, but it might have something to do with a Senator Mike Duffy memo, or something along those lines.

http://dougsamu.files.wordpress.com/2009/10/stephen-harper.jpg

Haven’t you heard? Canada is now a Nazi dictatorship – there won’t be an election.

“Did someone mention police state? Then lets not forget the machineguns on Parliament Hill, and a tripling of its security cameras”

====================================

OMG, have you ever been on Parliament Hill?????

I can go there anytime I want, sandwich in hand, stroll up and plop my butt down wherever there is a free space, eat my lunch and people watch or catch the view of the Ottawa River. Heck, in the summer they have “Hot Yoga on the Hill” where hundreds or possibly thousands of people go there at lunch time to exercise. One of my favourite places to go for a run is right along the Parliament Hill “corridor”.

In the summer the place is literally full of residents and tourists walking around, completely unencumbered, taking pictures, looking at the buildings, laughing, etc.

Parliament Hill is probably one of the most free and open spaces I’ve ever been too in my life, so much so that it actually surprised me when I first moved here. IMHO, they do an incredible job of balancing free access and security.

With the proposed changes to the Election Act, Harper is making sure the Conservatives will win the next election!

Anyone hear any complaints about the Election Act? It seemed to be working fine, hmm… so why the changes? And why dissolve an independent agency (Elections Canada)that was in the process of investigating the current government on election fraud? Questions that make a person go hmmm…

Keep drinking JohnnyWalkerBelt!

Cons at 24% nationally!

http://www.threehundredeight.com/p/canada.html

People cra investigating environmental groups. Take a deep breath.

oops ,wrong key – 29% Nationally! Still not enough!

Wow. Look at all the lefties, they’re all whipped up in some sort of irrational frenzy. You guys need to chill.

I guess to a Con supporter, having CSIS investigate legitimate Canadian citizens is no big deal. Too bad for Harper, is that his support keeps dwindling.

NMG states; “I can go there anytime I want, sandwich in hand, stroll up and plop my butt down wherever there is a free space, eat my lunch and people watch or catch the view of the Ottawa River.”

So how much did your “samich” cost? Bet it wasn’t close to the $9 MILLION dollars we had to dole out for increased security.

http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/parliament-hill-barricades-to-cost-9m-1.1013144

I miss the days when we had a Prime Minister, half the size of Harper, who could grab a protester who got in his way by the throat and toss him aside!

LOL… Jean Chretien was his own security, now we have a Prime Minister who needs to be guarded over while he takes a sh*t!

Adscam

Liberals remain optimistic as they head into an election campaign tomorrow, despite a bruising few weeks of controversies and missteps that left Prime Minister Jean Chretien looking irritable, his caucus divided and his government facing accusations of being cynical, arrogant and manipulative.

Who is the hot blonde that is always sitting behind Harper in the House of Commons ?

Irrelevant ? Yes, but more important to me than Nazis or Jean Chretien.

so I guess harpers band will be auditioning for a drummer after sex with minors were laid against him

So how much did your “samich”cost?

Really Peeps?? What a rude, ignorant, ridiculous, childish, and condescending remark! You are sinking to ever lower levels of civility. Your comment is worthy of only one thing and that one thing is an apology to NMG! Good God, Peeps, stop being such an arrogant and self-absorbed JERK!!

$9,000,000.00 spent to enhance safety on Parliament Hill, the seat of our Country’s Government! Enhanced safety for the governing party members, enhanced security for members of the Official Opposition, enhanced security for Independent members, for staff and for visitors alike!

If there was ever a security incident at Parliament Hill, you would be the first to whine that there was insufficient security! For crying out loud, if $9,000,000.00 keeps even one nut job like you off of the hill, then I definitely think that this would be money very well spent!

You post link after link after link on this site. Do you even have a life or do you just search the internet for hours on end looking for anything to support your ridiculous view of the world? Get a life!

If and I say if you would only take a few minutes to actually read the articles that you post links to, you might have read the following in your most recent link:

A spokeswoman for the RCMP wouldn’t say whether there was a specific incident that prompted the upgrade.

“We strive to continuously improve the security of the precinct in consultation with our partners from the Senate and House of Commons security,” Sgt. Julie Gagnon wrote in an email.

“The enhancements to our security plan are necessary to complement existing measures currently in place. The RCMP recognizes the need to balance the public’s right to access and the security of our parliamentarians and public based on current and future threats.”

It’s a whole new world Peeps! Canada is just one of many countries that has or is increasing security. Even our Provincial Government now pays for Security Guards at our Provincial Government Liquor Stores during the busy Christmas season. Walmart was busy at Christmas, Costco was busy at Christmas as were many other businesses. None of these had security guards at Christmas, but our unionized Liquor Store employees needed a security guard??? Why weren’t you complaining about that waste of taxpayers money?? Why not, please tell us why not???

During the recent Municipal Contract negotiations, many to the far left of the political spectrum suggested that a wage increase to our unionized workers would not amount to much of a tax increase to the average person or household in our community. The lefties believed that this tiny amount was more than worth it in order to reward our unionized workforce with yet another raise. So Peeps, how much on a per capita basis would $9,000,000.00 amount to in order to upgrade security measures to our seat of Government?? Less that 26 cents per man, woman and child!!

Less than 26 cents!! I’ll reimburse you your 26 cents if you would like!!

Peeps, if I didn’t hurt your feelings too much with my last post, I’d like to share something with you. The following short history lesson was passed on to me earlier this week from one of my personal friends, someone who probably works far harder than you and I combined, someone who is a very successful businessman and is a self-made millionaire many times over, someone who’s efforts provide jobs to many many people, someone who pays far more in taxes in a single year than you and I combined probably pay in a decade..

I hope you enjoy this short history lesson!

A short history lesson……

Humans originally existed as members of small bands of nomadic hunter /gatherers.

They ate deer in the mountains during the summer and would go to the coast and eat fish and crab in winter.

The two most important events in all of history were the invention of beer and the invention of the wheel. The wheel was invented to get man to the beer.

This was the foundation of modern civilization and also the catalyst for the splitting of humanity into two distinct subgroups:

1. Liberals

2. Conservatives.

Once beer was discovered, it required grain and that was the beginning of agriculture.

Neither glass bottles nor aluminum cans existed , so while early humans were sitting around waiting for them to be invented, they just stayed close to the brewery.

That’s how villages were formed.

Some men spent their days tracking and killing animals to BBQ at night while they were drinking beer. This was the beginning of what is known as the Conservative movement….

Other men who were weaker and less skilled at hunting learned to live off the Conservatives by showing up for the nightly BBQs and doing the sewing, fetching, and hair dressing. This was the beginning of the Liberal movement.

Some of these Liberal men eventually evolved into women and became known as girlie-men.

Some noteworthy Liberal achievements include the domestication of cats, the invention of group therapy, group hugs, and the concept of Democratic voting to decide how to divide the meat and beer that Conservatives provided.

Over the years, Conservatives came to be symbolized by the largest, most powerful land animal on earth, the elephant.
Liberals are identified with the jackass for obvious reasons.

Modern liberals like imported beer (with lime added), but most prefer white wine or imported bottled water. They eat their fish raw but like their beef well done. Sushi, tofu, and French food are standard Liberal fare.

Another interesting evolutionary side note…most of their women have higher testosterone levels than their men.
Most social workers, personal injury attorneys, journalists, dreamers in Hollywood and group therapists are Liberals.

Liberals invented the designated hitter rule because it wasn’t fair to make the pitcher also bat.

Conservatives drink domestic beer, mostly Bud or Miller. They eat red meat and still provide for their women. Conservatives are big game hunters, rodeo cowboys, lumberjacks, construction workers, firemen, medical doctors, police officers, engineers, corporate executives, athletes, members of the military, airline pilots and generally anyone who works productively.

Conservatives who own companies hire other conservatives who want to work for a living.

Liberals produce little.

They prefer to govern the producers…. and decide what to do with the production.
Liberals believe Europeans are more enlightened than Americans. That is why most of the liberals remained in Europe when Conservatives were coming to America .
They crept in after the Wild West was tamed and created a business of trying to get something for nothing.

Here ends today’s lesson in world history:

It should be noted that a Liberal may have a momentary urge to angrily respond to the above before forwarding it.

A Conservative will simply laugh and be so convinced of the absolute truth of this history that it will be forwarded immediately to other true believers and to more Liberals just to piss them off.

And there you have it.

I’m going to have another beer…

Thanks man, I have always wondered about the designated hitter rule.

American League pitchers are Liberals. Hahaha……..

Looks like someone is on Glen Beck’s mailing list ;)

Wow, I really am inside your head Hart Guy… *puts on the kid gloves* ;-)

Sorry to burst your bubble Peeps, but sometimes you are a bit of an arrogant, know-it-all jerk, and then and especially when you add rude to it, well then I like to call you on it!

I don’t like know-it-all bullies, so let’s PLAY NICE IN THE SANDBOX!!

Like it or not, that’s my opinion! By the way, did you enjoy the history lesson, haha?

……and where do I send your 26 cents??

from the Star almost 4 years ago ….

“While officers will still rely on their semi-automatic 9-mm pistols as their main weapon, they’ll also have access to the small but effective machine guns, which will be carried as a “secondary weapon” in their cruisers.”

So they likely have them by now … LOL..

Not much immediate protection if they have to run to the cruiser to get a gun type the attacker(s) would have without running to their vehicles.

So Canuck-like …. :-)

http://www.thestar.com/news/canada/2010/04/07/parliament_hill_mounties_to_get_machine_guns.html

Thank you Hart Guy, you totally threw some heat on a very cold night…loved it!

Hey Hart Guy;

Just add the 26 cents to the $17,875.90 for my share of Canada’s public debt!

http://www.davemanuel.com/canada-debt-clock.php

Thanks Harper! :-(

Say, I have an idea… how about finding that missing $3.1 BILLION dollars and spending some of that money on security… then Hart Guy can have his 26 cents back!

I find it interesting that Peeps newest mantra is “Wow, am I ever inside your head!!” Yet with almost any topic he/she immediately starts in on Harper or Christy. Who is inside who’s head? What is the last image you see on the inside of your eyelids before you fall asleep People. ;)

Not content to merely eliminate innocent Canadian citizens rights by getting CSIS to investigate them, the Harper government is now using the CRA to harass them.

http://www.threehundredeight.com/p/canada.html

Harper is sending a clear message that dissent will not be tolerated. This plays well to his intolerant base.

Sorry wrong link above. Here is the link to the article on CRA harassment of environmental groups.

http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/7-environmental-charities-face-canada-revenue-agency-audits-1.2526330?cmp=rss

Thank you Evolution, but I hope that you don’t really think that I was intentionally trying to throw some heat on a very cold night. Doing that would surely add to global warming and I certainly don’t want to be attacked for climate change! ;-)

Peeps, since I was willing to pay you back for your share of the $9,000,000.00 that you didn’t think was worth spending, I was kind of hoping that you might offer to pay me back for my share of the increase in our municipal taxes to pay for the wage increases that I didn’t agree with! Deduct your 26 cents and send me the balance. Ok??

Gosh, I’m having so much fun tonight! I’ll be really sorry to go back to work tomorrow and miss out on this fun! I’ll try to check in once in a while!!

The ‘inside your head’ thing is a weak schoolyard tactic designed to get people to not question your posts. Very weak.

You nailed it, detoe, Harper and Clark are inside Peep’s head. And they don’t even post here.

The only hope Harper has of getting reelected is if he can succeed in getting Quebec to separate before the next election.

Hart Guy are you willing to pay me back the $26 (my share of the $930,000,000) the Harper Government spent on the weekend g20 summit? Let me know when I can come by and pick up the cash!

http://www.thestar.com/news/gta/g20/2010/06/24/g20_canadas_billiondollar_summit_mystery.html

herbster, will you bring me my share of the cost of the my municipal tax increases that I didn’t agree with? How about my share of taxes that were needed to raise public sector wages to 130% of what the comparable private sector wages are? And so on and so on and so on!!

I want it in cash, not in a special type of popular herb, thanks herbster, haha!!

I will pay you your $.20 if you pay me my $26.00. Deal?

detoe43 asks “What is the last image you see on the inside of your eyelids before you fall asleep People.”

This is it (wait for it to fully load):

http://www.forwards.in/data/images/0812/1346121945_5.jpg

Peeps, I had a lot of fun tonight! How about you?

While getting some reports ready for tomorrow, a thought crossed my mind. Yes, I know, I know, I’m not intelligent enough to have a thought, but nonetheless I had one! Here it is!

I was thinking about this site and how each of us is posting with a complete level of anonymity. Under the cover of our anonymity, we say things that we might not say to each other if we were speaking to each other in person. That got me wondering about each of us on this site and who we actually are!

Peeps, I thought about many of your comments. Sometimes I think that you are completely out in left field. I find myself thinking who is the left wing “wing nut” who hates the Provincial Liberals and despises the Federal Conservative party and the Right Honourable Stephen Harper, Prime Minister of Canada?

Peeps, your socialistic ideology scares me! Your love of unions and big labour frightens me! Your love and worship of David Suzuki and his ilk, your contempt for the Oil Sands and everyone else in the energy sector for that matter all causes me a great deal of concern. In fact, you frighten me! With my concern and in my fear, I come more and more convinced that I would never ever, ever vote for or support anybody that you support or vote for. You would vote NDP or Federal Liberal, so I will most definitely (and always would) vote for a right wing party and my support would definitely go to Stephen Harper and the Conservatives.

Peeps, you are driving me, nay dare I say, you are forcing me more and more to the right of the political spectrum! Come clean Peeps, are you really Stephen Harper, posting here in complete anonymity??

Hart Guy, your obsessing over me is getting a little creepy.

Speaking of who we really are, are you my 250 news blog stalker?

Hart Guy:

Are you the last CONservative who refers to Steven Harper as “the right honourable”?

You might recall that the Cons won the last election with 38.9% of the popular vote, or less than 25% of eligible voters. So opposition to Harper and his party would make someone part of the majority.

Your courageous stand for the tarsands and energy sector and against unions and big labour indicates someone who is ready to defend the big guy, and dollars more than morals. Like it or not, your only political home is the Conservatives.

From this day on I will think of the American league as the “donkey league” and the National League as the “elephant league”.

Darn, can’t anyone from the Harper fan club tell me who the hot blonde is often seen sitting behind Steve in the House of Commons ?

That’s maing the assumption that all the people who didn’t vote wouldn’t have voted for the Conservatives. How do you know that? And besides, who cares about the people who couldn’t be bothered to vote? If anything, I would think those people are happy with the way things are… otherwise, they would’ve voted to try and change that, right?

Either way, by popular or eligible voters, Conservatives are a minority.

People one makes the statement that Prime Minister Jean Chretian, grabbed a protester and threw him aside, and that he was his own security.,

Because he uses SELECTIVE DRIVEL in his posts he overlooks the fact that, when a burglar broke into the Prime Ministers residence, Jean Chretian and his wife locked themselves in the bedroom, and phoned the police.

Hmmmmm/ Seems he didn’t use his own security in this case.

Those kinds of numbers will happen when you have multiple parties (ie more than 2). That’s just statistics. I think you’re just ticked off because it didn’t work out the way you would have liked.

If Mulcair and the NDP (-shudder-) were running the country wth the same numbers, you’d be fine with it.

Hmm… “designated hitter rule” or “tag teamed”… hey Rummy aka middle finger; looking at the length Hart Guy’s last few comments, and their syntax, I think Hart Guy brought in a switch hitter or tag team partner.

A couple of his comments are well above his IQ level, particularly the comment made at 12:24 last night/morning. That comment hit all the Conservative talking points including the use of fear/scare tactics.

Yup, we must be dealing with one of those 1,500 Harper Government “communications experts” that I commented about a while back. Is this is our tax dollars hard at work?
