Charges Laid In Smithers Stabbing

Smithers, BC – A 21-year-old man has been charged in connection with a fatal stabbing that occurred over the weekend in Smithers.
After receiving reports of a stabbing late Friday night, RCMP arrived at an apartment building on Main Street to find a man in medical distress. Police say 26-year-old Francis George Namox succumbed to his injuries in hospital.
Charges of second degree murder have now been laid against Kelly Andrew Johnson.
Johnson is set to appear in Provincial Court in Smithers on Tuesday.
