Prince George, BC – City residents have had to keep their shovels at the ready this past weekend – the use shifting from shoveling the 'white stuff' to digging trenches to drain water…
Snow overnight Saturday quickly melted into pooling puddles in Sunday's sunshine. The temperature remained a balmy plus 1 degree at 9pm last night.
Environment Canada is calling for a mild week. A mix of sun and cloud today, with a high of 2 degrees.
We're supposed to see more snow tomorrow, but it could be a little on the 'wet' side with the high set for zero.
The daytime temperatures will remain at the freezing mark or slightly above for the rest of the week.

Now, how about some pothole repair?
PG pot holes and Shari Green just a distant memory as I drive on the smooth roads of Arizona. Unfortunately I will be sadly awoken from the dream of no pot holes when the return to PG takes place.
so have they stopped plowing because there is a puddle down town? the hart is still a mess!!
Residential building codes state cement support pillars for sundecks must be 4 feet deep. My understanding is that this is to ensure they are below the frost line.
4 feet??? when was the last time frost has even penetrated 1 foot into the ground around here? We get one week of cold weather and then above freezing temperatures.
Nothing but freeze – thaw; freeze – thaw; in an endless cycle during our winters now. I think it is this weather cycle that has been so hard on our roads.

I agree, roads are amazing but so is the weather. Nice to be away from the winter in P.G. for a couple of months in Yuma Arizona.
Those trucks sure can cause waves when they travel fast. Good thing that puddle wasn’t deeper!
That road looks like the one between the soccer fields and CN Centre heading towards Ospika.
