Police Bust Two Drug Outlets

Prince George, B.C. – Prince George RCMP are reporting a bust at a residence suspected of being a key drug distribution centre in the city.
Last Thursday members of the Crime Reduction Team and Drug Task Force executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant on a residence on Arnett Avenue and arrested a 23-year-old city man. Inside the home police seized a significant quantity of cocaine (2200 doses) and heroin (560 doses).
As a result of evidence obtained during the search, police obtained and executed an additional search warrant on a home on Osgoode Drive. They seized a large quantity of cash and three pounds of marihuana.
The male suspect was later released on a promise to appear and is facing a number of drug charges.

Should keep the guy in the slammer. He has already proved not to be trustworthy by the amount of drugs in his possesion.

Chances are really good he will flee to Alberta or more stupidly down to the coast.
Promise to appear? What a most gullible judge. To appear for what sentence? One day in jail, eighteen months probation and no firearms for ten years? Maybe he can phone the judge for bus fare from Ontario. Crime prevention? I’ll buy that for a dollar. It is to laff.
So how much is a “large quantity of cash”?

PTA issued, probably because there was little likelihood of a JP holding him. No judge involved yet. Just some defense lawyer who will tell the judge what a hard life this poor, unfortunate, misguided fool has had. Yer right, probation, community service ad nauseum………..
What is the amount of a “dose”? It would be nice if they could be a little more specific.
I agree with billyinpg. Never was a big drug person, but I’ve heard of grams, ounces, 8-balls,bindles OK so maybe there was a time, but doses ? Where I grew up a “dose” was what you got when. . . nevemind ;-)
It can’t be that much. I would think if it was of quantity they’d go by wieght. Kilo’s, ounces?
Does anyone care about the weed guy? In a city like PG, that isn’t even a lot. The average neighbourhood weed seller would go through that in 2 days.

They really only care about the cash. It goes into the civil forfeiture program and it doesn’t matter if they find anyone guilty or not, the cash is now the cops.
You can’t release a cocaine trafficker on a PTA !! He has to go before the courts ! So…..it is either a weak case or lazy cops !!
