Two Key Sessions for 2015 Games Folks
Prince George, BC – The 2015 Canada Winter Games Host Society is hosting two key stakeholder groups this week as the preparations continue for the 2015 Games.
Chef de Mission staff are in Prince George for their first Chef de Mission Meeting, while sponsors are in the City for their first Sponsor Summit.
Thirteen Chefs de Mission and their assistants from all provincial and territorial teams are in town for the first of two pre-Games Chef de Mission Meetings to learn about Prince George and the 2015 Games’ Official Venues, discuss upcoming programs and projects, and provide feedback to the 2015 Games’ staff. Joining them are government representatives from the federal, provincial and municipal level, bringing the number in attendance to 27.
‘‘The first Mission Meeting is an extremely important step in the final planning stages for the 2015 Games,’’ says Stuart Ballantyne, CEO of the 2015 Canada Winter Games. ‘‘The feedback from the individuals at the Mission Meeting will help inform the 2015 Games to ensure we deliver an exceptional athlete experience next year.’’
As for the Sponsor Summit, more than 60 representatives from the 2015 Games’ sponsors will be in attendance. The Sponsor Summit runs today through Friday. Sponsors will tour the official venues, and gain information on how they can make the most of their sponsoship of the 2015 Games.
In September, the Mission staff and sponsors will come back to P.G. for a second round of discussions.

Enjoy the smell folks.
So who are the sponsors? There aren’t 60 on the website.
The city could hire crop dusting airplanes to spray Febreze all over the city on our bad days during the Games.
Maybe the mills can schedule maintenance shutdowns for the games period. No stink plus more potential volunteers.
