Sunshine: The ‘Up-Side’ To A Cold Start To March

Prince George, BC – Today's wind chill is definitely adding an icy edge to the sunshine…
Although the thermometer reads minus 10 at the airport, it feels like minus 17 with the wind. And it will get worse before it gets better – Environment Canada is forecasting an overnight low of minus 24, that will feel like minus 34 with the wind chill. That wind will stick around tomorrow, to make the day's high of minus 16 feel like minus 36.
The record low for March 1st was minus 29.7, set in 1989. While the warmest was 12.7 degrees in 1994.
The 'normals' for this time of year are lows in the range of minus 8, and highs up to 2.
Take warm comfort in the fact you're not visiting Calgary, where the city has been gripped by an extreme wind chill – where it felt like minus 44 yesterday, and sits at minus 43 today.
