Quesnel Council Gives Billy Barker Green Light
Quesnel – Quesnel City Council has recommended a liquor licence application for the Billy Barker Casino and the existing attached outdoor smoking patio at the rear of their business be approved by the Liquor Control Licencing Branch.
This application allows the establishment to serve alcohol in the casino and smoking patio as well as within their lounge and other areas that currently have liquor primary licences.
Community input was sought by way of a public meeting held on February 24 and no residents attended the meeting nor did any residents provide written comments to the application.
The location of the establishment and its proximity to other facilities, hours of liquor service, number and clientele, noise impact on the community in the immediate vicinity, and social impacts of the application were all given consideration in Council’s recommendation.

Only a matter of time before we have slot machines in the larger hotels in BC.
Lets drink, dance, gamble and be merry.
Free booze while gambling in Reno and Vegas. Not here. We’re so “world class”.
Hey Harb, the ‘free’ booze in Vegas casinos is hard to find unless you tip the waitress or bartender. Or, if you are one of the high rollers. Then its free.
metalman.
That was a few years ago. Tough times call fer changes, I guess. I recollect being told the table gamblers get better and more booze than the one armed bandit operators get. (While in Vegas). But that was then. On the upside, here at our casino you can now take your booze and not have to drink it only standing on the purple carpet. Getting closer to world class. IMO.
