Prince George, B.C.- Two people have been taken to hospital with undetermined injuries as a result of a two vehicle crash at Ferry and Ospika Boulevard this afternoon.
The crash happened around 3:15 this afternoon when a vehicle that was northbound on Ospika, collided with a car that was turning left from Ospika on to Ferry.
The driver of the white car has been charged with operating a vehicle contrary to a restricted license, (young driver),driving without due care and attention, and failure to wear a seat belt

hope they are OK
That intersection is Terrible⦠they need to install a stop sign if a light is to expensive ⦠well maybe the mayor needs to go back to China instead â¦.
A worse intersection than this is Pinewood Ave. and Ospika….very much needs a light here!!!
One of the most dangerous intersections in town. Trying turning left off Ferry going west. The speed of the vehicles coming around that blind curve are also contributing factors despite the speed indicator sign.
Since when does anyone in this town pay any attention to traffic signs,.??
From the damage on the cars it looks like the grey car must have turned in front of the white one?
I don’t doubt that the left hand turner was taking her sweet time turning.
If I’m correct do I get a cookie?
The kid was texting?
22nd and Ospika needs a light. Try turning left off 22nd onto Ospika heading southbound.
I find it odd how people are placing blame on the driver turning left. In the above news article it says “The driver of the white car has been charged with operating a vehicle contrary to a restricted license, (young driver),driving without due care and attention, and failure to wear a seat belt.” Nowhere in the article is the driver of the other vehicle mentioned other than being sent to the hospital for medical attention. They installed a speed indicator at the bottom of that hill for a reason. People consistently come around that corner at excessive speeds.
I don’t doubt that the left hand turner turned left right in front of the white car.
In order to charge the person in the white car there would have to be witnesses. Obviously, the white car was going excessive speed and didn’t have time to slow down EVEN if they saw the car turning.
Dont blame the drivers , blame it on road conditions. Lol
Whammy: That speed indictaor was turned to face the other way many months ago. All cars are equipped with one though, its called a speedometer.
So getting three tickets like that, does it mean that he loses his license and has to start all over again? I sure hope so, right from square one.
Try making a left hand turn off of Ferry when all the idiots heading west on Ospika drive in the left lane. Very frustrating!
The posts are installed there for lights. It would be nice if they put lights in. Turning left onto Ospika is difficult at every street that doesn’t have lights, because Ospika is busy, and it’s a racetrack. ;)
We live where you can go straight out to the highway to go to town, but we choose to go down to a street that has a light because it is easier and safer. I would imagine most people going out onto Ospika could do the same if it is that hard to get onto Ospika. We already have too many lights on main streets that disrupt traffic flow.
The driver wasn’t wearing a seat belt, so in addition to having too many passengers, he lacks judgement for many reasons! He is lucky he survived by looks of the photo.
