Max Millions Madness To Sweep the Province
Prince George, B.C.- You can expect the BC Lottery kiosks to be busy today as the Lotto Max Millions prize pool will top the $100 million dollar mark.
Around 40 per cent of all LOTTO MAX sales for the weekly game take place on Friday, with the biggest peaks during the lunch hour and afternoon, when lottery retailers in B.C. are expected to process up to 1000 transactions per minute.
"Excitement is really building across Canada," said Kevin Gass, VP of Lottery Gaming at BCLC. "Players in B.C. tend to be 'jackpot chasers.' They get in on the action when jackpots are huge and this is one of the largest prize pools we've ever had."
This is the fourth time in Canadian history that a lottery prize pool has reached this level, tipping the scales at $100 million.
The largest 6-49 jackpot was $63.4 million back in April of 2013.
Players have until 6 p.m. tonight to buy a ticket for a chance to win the $50 million LOTTO MAX jackpot as well as 50 MAXMILLION prizes of $1 million each.
Odds of winning a LOTTO MAX jackpot or MAXMILLION prize are one in 28,633,528 per play.

Can’t bank on this as my reirement plan. I’ll have to do it the old fashioned way, off to work I go.
Get out there and pay your voluntary tax!
PAC should buy some tickets!

If one would just skip the Friday trip to Starbucks. 6 bucks a week for a chance to be rich is not much at all.
At least if you’re buying a coffee every week, you get the benefit of the coffee. A one in 28 million chance is akin to throwing your money into a hole.
Or you could stop at a town pantry and get a 2 dollar coffee and put the rest towards a ticket and you never know.
The lottery people love people like you, Sergio.
It’s a volunteer tax.. But think of all the money we waste buying coffee at a drive thru, or drinks at a bar when you could do it cheaper at home. Dropping a couple bucks and a hope and dream is fine by me..
Yeah, I only buy tickets when it’s $100,000,000 or more. Anything less is for punks. :-D
If you don’t play you have a zero chance of winning. If you play you have at least a small chance of winning… but it’s still a chance.
I only play when the jackpot gets up to $50 million, that automatically keeps my gambling in check.
If I win the one million prize, I’ll probably give it back. My wife will have that spent before breakfast is done.
I stop by Starbucks everyday on my way to work at $4.50 for a latte so it’s about $23 per week. I figure I’m worth it though and I don’t smoke, drink or buy lottery tickets. Gotta have at least one vice … LOL
good luck to all who purchase a ticket.
