Two From Area Make BC’s List Of Most Wanted Car Thieves
Prince George, BC – BC's Top 10 Most Wanted Auto Crime Offenders for 2014 is out to mark the start of April's Auto Crime Enforcement Month.
Two of the ten are wanted for crimes committed in Prince George and the surrounding region.
Corporal Rob Stephenson with the Integrated Municipal Provincial Auto Crime Team (IMPACT) says Elliot Ryan Joseph (aka Walter Paul Joseph) is at number three on the list. Joseph is wanted on warrants by both Prince George and Fort St James RCMP.
Stephenson says David Alexander Auger is wanted on warrants in both Prince George and Quesnel.
IMPACT is celebrating a decade of success in reducing the number of vehicles stolen and broken into in our province. In Prince George, there were 83-percent fewer vehicle thefts and 91-percent fewer break-ins last year than compared to 2003. (click here, for previous story)
The auto crime unit's annual Top 10 list began in 2006, as another tool to target the thieves committing these crimes. Corporal Stephenson says it's been a highly effective initiative with 95 of the posted 100 wanted offenders arrested to date, thanks to help from the media and public.

We should jus buy them a really nice car each of their own….so they wouldn’t have to steal them!
With the amount they’ve cost the justice system over their ‘careers’, we could have bought them both Lamborghinis, no doubt.
On our way to reclaiming the title of crime capital of Canada once again.
Spend a lot of tax dollars catching them so they can be released with a “promise to appear”? “Steady as she goes”. “Aye aye, captain”.
Be nice to see these two goofs off the street.
agent86: They’d have them destroyed in no time or they would sell them and be looking for more again.
It would be nice to have them put away for a long time.
It would be nice if they had a job, so they didn’t have time for crime and were paying their own way. It would probably be cheaper for government to pay them to man a shovel so they could eventually buy their own car and appreciate its value. I guess if we did that though then we would have a rash of crime from unemployed lawyers and judges in the criminal system.
They wouldn’t take a job if you offered…these are the “unemployed by” choice part of our society. Why work when you can steal…especially when the penalty for theft is no more than a slkp on the wrist…if that. And oh, I forgot about the welfare cheques for doing nothing.
Just put a bullet carefully placed in the left ear. Problem solved.
Let’s bring back photo radar to slow them down, and have road blocks to check what is traveling along our highways. Check inside trailers at night, and get drinkers and shaddy operates caught.

A good idea. I assume that most criminal scum do their deeds undercover of darkness, in the wee hours when most honest folk are resting for another day in the trenches. So, more routine traffic stops, roadblocks at random, have officers looking in on the drivers and their passengers, anything suspicious, they check them out. This would probably catch a lot of criminals including impaired drivers.
