Prince George, B.C.- The  value of building permits in February  was $10,413,830.00  That's up  by nearly $6 million over the same month  last year, and  up more than $8 million  over  February of 2012.

There was one single reason for that  boost.  The University Hospital of Northern B.C. Learning and Development Centre.

With a building permit value of over $5 million, it was the single largest  project  started in February.

It means the Year to Date permit value ( January and February) was $13,311,397.00.   Last year,  the permit value for the first two months was $8,396,688  and in 2012 it was $4,629,623.00
