Pathetic world we live in
No just the city
Do agree with you Renslip. Wonder what happened to our buddy Gus and his “interesting” blogs.
Is PG news all that you read? a teenage boy had an argument with another, they went outside and one was lit on fire while the other stood there laughing watching him burn. Here is a suggestion for you,, MOVE,, aweful crap happens everywhere everyday
Most dangerous city in Canada 3 years in a row. Trust me I don’t live in your city and I never would. Every time I am in PG I see nothing but a dirty old city prostitutes, drunks, and crack addicts everywhere. You say you have the hood. We’ll it looks like it is spreading

Renslip,,,hogwash that its the most dangerous, you must stop visiting the area you are referring too when you are here then. Every larger urban area has its sorespots,it doesn’t even have to be large. I am positive where ever you are from it has its scum as well , Cheers

Didn’t mega to post that again
I have lived here 30 years and have never found the City to be dangerous. Mind you, I don’t do illegal stuff or associate with the criminal elements in town, so that makes a difference I’m sure.
My impression is that the ‘random events’ that happen to people are about the same in PG as they are everywhere else. If you dabble in illegal activities, the City will be more dangerous for sure.
On a daily basis I read single-minded and relentless comments posted on this site. I challenge everyone on this site to stop posting thier views under an alias and start using their real name. Especially those who choose to be agressive towards others opinions.
I am not evolved in any illegal activities either but every single time I am anywhere in PG I see it. Depression prositution public drunkenous drug dealing and addiction. There is even a billboard for an escort service on your way to the airport
That sign is no longer there. It has been gone for quite some time now.
There are people wihtin every community who struggle with mental health, addicitons and poverty.
And prostitution?

That ain’t gonna happen, Chris. Got any other suggestions?
Odd – its thursday and I’ve gone to work everyday, gone for lunch twice, went out for dinner once and stopped by the hardware store. I have yet to see a prostitute this week. I guess I don’t shop where renslip shops ;)
renslip, why don’t you all regale us with the eden you live in? it sounds like a magical, wonderful place. no prostitutes in your neck of the woods? why, it might be the only community on earth that doesn’t have at least a few. PG is rough around the edges, it wears its heart on its sleeve, and I love it here. like JB, i’ve been here for over 30 years, and have never been targeted seriously. I’ve had a couple bikes stolen, but in both cases, neither were locked up. what I have witnessed is the helpfulness of people in PG when I’ve been hurt or needed assistance, the selflessness of residents for volunteering and raising money for good causes (run for the cure, spirit of the north), and the beautiful wilderness all around us.
renslip, you sound like a sad, paranoid individual, who would rather hide inside and read maclean’s then go out and discover the great things all communities have. i feel sorry for people like you.
No more aliases, nom de plumes and nicknames? Post yer real name? Get real. Some folks feel threatened by other peoples opinions. The late Peter Godfrey woke me up to that. Some one wacko enough to be offended could get yer house burnt down. Trust me. Some people are crazy. As fer the penalty, one day in jail, eighteen months probation and a firearms ban for ten years. That’s how life works. Besides, if you put on a good performance you can be judged as to be “not criminally responsible”. IMO.
Couldn’t have put it better, Harb.
